"On my last visit in St. Petersburg, only a couple of weeks ago, I realized again that the images of that city in Feodor Dostozevsky’s "Crime and Punishment" have been so forcefully ingraved in my memory that I keep experiencing the real city through my emotive memories of this literary masterpiece. While walking on the streets of St. Petersburg, I fantacised the daily pathways of Raskolnikov, and I stopped to imagine the drunken Mikulka beating his innocent horse, weakend by hunger, to death (...) and I find myself thinking of his stunning assertion: "It is though space, cognizant...of its inferiority to time, answers it with the only property time doesn’t possess: with beauty"".

"A world of fragments” este ultima apariţie din colecţia Arhiva de idei Arhitext. Volumul prezintă cele 9 eseuri nominalizate la concursul de eseuri critice, din cadrul Trienalei de Arhitectură East Centric, organizată de Fundaţia Arhitext design în Bucureşti, în octombrie 2013. Eseurile pun în discuţie identitatea sau lipsa unei identităţi a arhitecturii contemporane a Europei Centrale şi de Est în contextul diverselor probleme culturale şi sociale cu care ţarile din această regiune se confruntă.

Volumul  poate fi achiziţionat din librările Cărtureşti din toată ţara sau direct de la redacţie prin comandă pe e-mail la: arhitext_redactie@b.astral.ro. Preţul unui exemplar este de 47 lei + taxe postale (136 pg, exclusiv în limba engleză).
