Paris Design Week: Call for projects
From 12th to 18th September 2011, Paris is launching its Design Week. Following in the footsteps of fringe shows in Milan, London, Tokyo and New York whose professional fairs are a pretext for a unifying event open to everyone in the city, Maison&Objet is taking strides to take over Paris and enable designers, points of sales, galleries, etc to benefit from its 100,000 visitors... Like many other protagonists, Duende has been impatiently waiting for a major internationally-minded design event to finally get a foothold in Paris, the last remaining civilized capital city to have neither a museum or off show which is 100% design. We need to wait a little longer for the Paris design museum, but we are delighted to announce our collaboration regarding press relations with Agence 14 septembre for this first Paris Design Week!


Dear design companies, designer, architect friends, we still have a few weeks left to finalise this Design Week’s itinerary and to make it into the success which will put Paris on the global design map. Do you have a project to exhibit? Do you have a venue to exhibit one or several projects? Contact us! Many venues are currently available for use by designers and architects in return for a symbolic financial contribution. The more of us there are, the more likely this first edition will go down in design history and offer Parisians an event for and by enthusiasts of our disciplines.
