The conference will be hosted by Lessius University College.
The conference focuses on two major themes that are of interest to the network and the European Capitals of Culture movement:
1. Culture in/and Crisis?
2. European Capitals of Culture in/and Crisis?
We welcome a variety of scholarly papers that address either one or both of these themes. We very much encourage professors, teachers, researchers, young scholars and junior faculty to participate. We also invite representatives of cultural organizations and colleagues from local city/regional administration, particularly those responsible for organizing their cities’ European Capital of Culture programme, to present papers /ideas/projects too.
The deadline for submitting the abstracts is 30 April, 2011.
